Dr. Iwamoto is a character in Ultraman. He is a member of SSSP. He was portrayed by Akihiko Hirata.
History
Ultraman
He was the designer of the Jet VTOL, and simultaneously the Phoenix No. rocket. He took over for Dr. Ichinotani as the Science Patrol's scientific adviser after the later's retirement.

- His actor Akihiko Hirata is known for previous portrayed Dr. Daisuke Serikawa in Godzilla.
- His actor would also later appear in Ultraseven as a high ranking SDF officer.
