Shotaro Kamiki is one of the main characters of Ultraman X. He is the captain of Xio.
Personality[]
He firmly believes in understanding the enemy, trying to become friends with them instead of defeating them. While he understands that often monsters must be fought, he does not give up on his belief that humans should coexist with them, a trait he shares with Daichi.
Although usually calm and did not show too much emotion, when he saw his team achieve a dramatic reversal victory in a rugby match, he showed an exciting side of his personality. We Are Nebula!

Pre-Ultraman X[]
11 years prior to the story, he was an ace pilot of the Air Self-Defense Force and lost his wife in that same year from an incurable disease.
Under the recommendation of Daisuke Minamikawa, head of UNVER's Japanese branch, Kamiki was appointed as the leader of Xio's Japanese branch.
Ultraman X[]
Due to his wife's death, he and his daughter Hiromi had an estrangement. Since then, he has put in the breast pocket of his uniform a drawing of Hiromi's sketch of his wife as a reminder. However, because of his estrangement from Hiromi, he also considers himself a failed father.
He didn't know the news that Hiromi was going to get married until the day before the wedding. Although Hiromi's wedding invitation to him was a bit sloppy, Hiromi still hoped that his father would attend the wedding. Although in the end, he misses the wedding due to a monster attack. However, when Kamiki returned to the auditorium, he found that Hiromi had been waiting for him. The conflict between the two got resolved when they entered the arena holding hands.
