History[]

Dinosaur Expedition Born Free[]

When a comet passed by Earth, causing seismic shifts all around the world, dinosaurs and prehistoric plant life emerged from the underground, however, the prehistoric flora was unable to survive in the modern environments, leaving herbivorous dinosaurs to starve to death and carnivorous ones without proper prey, leading to the funding of the Born Free, their goal being to capture and relocate these animals to the Island of Sarlon, where they can live peacefully and be further studied. When a Brontosaurus was sighted in the Amazon Jungles, the Born Free instantly moved out to rescue it. Upon first encountering the plant eater, it savagely attacked the crew but retreated upon getting hit with several anesthetic shots. The Born Free gang managed to track down what they thought was the Brontosaurus but found the reason why the normally peaceful animal became so aggressive, she had a baby and was protecting the young, but the scared calf ran away and, in the process, got trapped by a carnivorous plant. Go! Born Free!

Upon hearing it's a calf in distress, the mother immediately came to the rescue and once again viciously attacked the Born Free. When she located her child, it bit the carnivorous plant to pieces and retreated into the jungle once again, with the young closely following its mother. After another failure, the Born Free decided to change their tactics, instead of tracking the herbivores, they decided to wait near a lake in hopes that the Brontosaurus and her calf would eventually come to drink, and so they did, however, they weren't the only dinosaurs that came there, a starving Allosaurus comes to the lake too, desperate for food it entered into a fight with the Mother Brontosaurus, the carnivore was distracted by the Born Free, and as they dealt with the predator, the 2 Brontosauruses walked away. Fear Carnivorous Dinosaur Allosaurus

After capturing the Allosaurus, the Born Free returned to the Amazon to try and rescue the Brontosauruses again. They found the mother Brontosaurus in the lake, and she fought viciously, severely damaging one of their submarines and almost killing one of the crew, anesthetic shots seemed to have almost no effect on the angered mother. Realizing that she was trying to distract them from the calf, they retreated and found the calf hiding in the bushes, after capturing it with a net.

The mother immediately rushed out of the lake to save her young, but as she approached the effects of the anesthetic shots finally wore in, she collapsed to the ground and dragged herself across it, willing to give her life to save her child, seeing its mother on the ground, the calf managed to break free from the net and run to her for protection as she finally fell asleep. A carrier appeared to take them both away just as the area was destroyed by earthquakes, saving them just in the nick of time. The mother and her calf relocated to the Island of Sarlon, where they continued to live undisturbed. Rescue Brontosaurus!

After an earthquake, another Brontosaurus with a young one emerged and got attacked by a hungry Gorgosaurus. The predator tried to go for the easy kill, the baby, but the mother did not let the Gorgosaurus get anywhere near it, the Gorgosaurus and the mother fought until poachers killed the mother Brontosaurus, and its baby was taken away by two villagers. After the threat was gone, the baby Brontosaurus, named Arigane, returned to mourn its mother. The two villagers took care of the young one, and one of them trained it so that it could avenge its mother's death. Later the Gorgosaurus returned, and Arigane fearlessly attacked the predator, but even after all the training, the predator was too much for a baby dinosaur to handle, luckily the Born Free was able to knock out the Gorgosaurus before it was too late. The injured Arigane was taken to the reserve, where it healed and lived with the other Brontosauruses. Fight, Little Dinosaur!

Trivia[]

  • The stop motion puppet for the brontosaur would be a common sight in Ururu's underground palace in Dinosaur Great War Izenborg.
  • The Brontosaurus’ roar is a modified Birdaurus roar (modified horse whinnies) from Ambassador Magma.
  • When the Great Dinosaur War broke out, the Brontosaurus wasn't given a suit. It would only gain a suit in the Dinosaur Trilogy series' ending, Koseidon.
  • This Brontosaurus is likely a much better parent than the real animal, as sauropods probably didn't take care of their young.
  • The mother Brontosaurus also seems to be much smarter than the actual animal, as she came up with a plan to distract the Born Free from her calf.
  • The Brontosaurus, along with Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus, has the most appearances in the show, with 6 episodes.
