Hassei Takano is a Japanese actor and director. His real name is Mitsuhiro Tsuda . He is known for his role as Hiroya Fujimiya, Ultraman Agul's human host in Ultraman Gaia.
Career[]
Hassei Takano made his debut as a child actor in the TV drama Rainbow Village in 1989.
He has portrayed various superheroes in tokusatsu dramas, beginning with Hiroya Fujimiya in Ultraman Gaia in 1998, a role he reprised in the 2008 film Great Decisive Battle! The Super 8 Ultra Brothers, and Kamen Rider Raia/Miyuki Tezuka in Kamen Rider Ryuki in 2002, which he reprised in Kamen Rider Zi-O Spin-off and Rider Time: Kamen Rider Ryuki, in 2019.
Outside of Tokusatsu, Hassei also appeared in the 2004 film Oresama alongside internationally recognised musician Miyavi and played Kurando Magira in the science fiction drama Keitai Sousakan 7 and was a Kiyoi, a vampire, in the Rh Plus live-action adaption.
In 2017, he directed the crowdfunded tokusatsu parody film HE-LOW and later its two sequels, HE-LOW THE SECOND and HE-LOW THE FINAL. The movies feature various actors from the Ultraman Series, such as Takeshi Yoshioka, Taiyo Sugiura, Takuya Negishi, Kiyotaka Uji and Takaya Aoyagi, as well as actors from the Kamen Rider series.
Personal Life[]
In 2006, he married Yukari Ishida, who portrayed Reiko Yoshii alongside him in Ultraman Gaia. They have a daughter and two sons together. When they reprised their roles in Great Decisive Battle! The Super 8 Ultra Brothers, their eldest daughter Hinaka portrayed their in-universe daughter.
