―Ultraseven 21 to Neos

Ultraseven 21 (ウルトラセブン21ツーワン, Urutorasebun Tsū Wan) is an Ultra Warrior featured in the direct-to-DVD series Ultraman Neos. He is Ultraman Neos' partner, and came to Earth with him to protect humanity from giant monsters and evil invaders. Seven 21 is a member of the Galactic Security Agency (宇宙保安庁, Uchū Hoanchō), a group within the Inter Galactic Defense Force that specializes in surveillance and investigation missions.

Conception

Etymology

According to M-78.jp, he is named 21 because he was the 21st Ultra Warrior to come to Earth. His name 21 also seems to be from "the 21st century" theme for Neos was the first series appear in the new millennium. Also, the number 21 is a result of 7 multiplied by 3, likely a reference to the Showa and Heisei Ultraseven.

History

Ultraman Neos Pilot

Ultraseven 21 arrived on Earth to aid Ultraman Neos against Alien Zamu and Drengeran. Working together, they defeated their opponents, finishing them with their beam attacks. Ultraman Neos Pilot

Ultraman Neos

Ultraseven 21 was originally a member of the Inter Galactic Defense Force and the Galactic Security Agency. When he was about to be assigned to protect the planet Earth, some emergency prevented him from leaving his post. So, the Security Agency requested assistance from the Elite Task Force.

The protection of the Earth fell into the hands of Ultraman Neos, but once Seven 21 was clear, he traveled to Earth to act as Neos’ backup. The red giant appeared to Neos' host, unleashing the transformation device sealed within him and instructing him to transform to fight the first Dark Matter monster to appear in Japan. The red giant aided the hero several times, but didn’t go into actual battle until Neos was being double teamed by the monsters Sazora and Nozera. The two heroes managed to vanquish both monsters. The Red Giant! Seven 21 All the while 21 took on several human forms, often at times taking the image of someone involved with the current situation HEART was investigating.

Ultraseven 21

Ultraseven 21 would continue to aid Neos on and off again until Mensch Heit's assassin monster Grall almost killed Neos. While the red and silver hero managed to vanquish the golden kaiju, he was left wounded. The Assassin-Beast from Space 21 appeared before the dying Neos with Zoffy, giving him much needed energy. On 21's suggestion, Zoffy returned to the Land of Light to gather up the needed life energy to fully heal Neos, warning him not to fight until he returned. Thus, when Mensch Heit arrived on Earth, it was up to Ultraseven 21 to thwart his attacks.

However, Mensch Heit's powerful and bizarre attacks easily overpowered 21. Even when Neos was summoned to his side, both were almost killed at the feet of the warlord. However, an unexpected ally would soon help: the last of the people of Zamu. The last member of the race sacrificed himself to recharge both Ultraman Neos and Ultraseven 21. With renewed strength, the pair threw several different energy attacks at the fiend. At long last, Mensch Heit was killed and the Earth saved. Ultraman Neos separated from his host. Their missions completed, Ultraman Neos and Ultraseven 21 returned to Nebula M78 to await further orders. Warriors of Light, Forever

When Belial took the Plasma Spark, the Land of Light turned into a frozen world freezing all the Ultramen. After Ultraman Zero defeated Belial and recovered the Plasma Spark, Ultraseven 21, Ultraman Neos, Ultraman Max and Ultraman Xenon, restored, were among those who went to listen to Ultraman King's speech. Neos and Seven 21 preparing to attack Leugocyte.

Ultraseven 21 went with Ultraman Neos and Ultraman 80 to Planet Feed in pursuit of Leugocyte, whose attack on Planet Kanon had been stopped by 80. Together, the three Ultras tag-teamed Leugocyte, when all of a sudden Absolute Tartarus and Reibatos arrived, the latter using his powers to revive Gymaira. With 80 occupied fighting Gymaira, Leugocyte knocked Neos and Seven 21 down, but fortunately, Cosmos and Justice arrived to lend a hand, having arrived after picking up unusual energy readings, which they had followed to Planet Feed. Cosmos and Justice stepped in to fight Leugocyte, rescuing Seven 21 and Neos whilst simultaneously giving 80 and opening to defeat Gymaira. With everyone now fighting Leugocyte simultaneously, Neos received a message sent from Zoffy as an Ultra Sign, and told the others that the mission to save Max had begun.

The five Ultras eventually defeated Leugocyte, but were suddenly attacked by Absolute Tartarus, who ambushed them. Fortunately, Cosmos and Justice fused into Ultraman Legend, forcing Tartarus into retreating. After the battle was over, 21 and the others returned to the Inter Galactic Defense Force Headquarters to report the situation to Zoffy. The Beginning

Galaxy Rescue Force Voice Drama

A time after the incident, Seven 21 was sent on behalf of the Galactic Security Agency to inform the Galaxy Rescue Force that they would be allying with them in the continuing battle against the Absolutian threat, coincidentally arriving at the same time as Ultraman Justice who was there to send the same message. With the two finally getting a chance to interact properly, 21 offered to spar with Justice for a while, with both shown to be equally matched. Dream Match

Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad

After returning to the Land of Light from Planet Ebil, Melos was put in the lead of the rescue mission to save Yullian after Father of Ultra requested the assistance of the Galaxy Rescue Force for the fight against The Kingdom.

Xenon, Seven 21, Melos, Hikari, Astra, & Victory

Seven 21 and his teammates discussing their about rescue mission.

Now knowing of the Kingdom's location thanks to Astra's efforts, a rescue team was formed with its members being Astra, Xenon, Seven 21, Andro Melos, Hikari and Victory, guided by Sora from the Galaxy Rescue Force using technology and the Max Galaxy's powers to open a gate to the Kingdom. They were later joined by Justice, sent to them on the order of Delacion. The team infiltrated the Kingdom and split up to search for Yullian, agreeing to rendezvous back at the Eldora Tower later, but unfortunately came across some resistance.

While searching around, Seven 21 and Andro Melos paired up but were attacked by Absolute Titan. They stalled him until Astra managed to find and rescue both Yullian and Ultraman Regulos. The team waited for Astra to arrive, delayed by an attack from Absolute Diavolo. With the Absolutians closing in and their way home shrinking by the second, things seemed grim until Astra arrived with both Yullian and Regulos with him. Despite all their hardships, the team managed to leave the Kingdom and their mission was a success.

After the rescue squad managed to escape, they arrived on Planet Blizzard pursued by the Absolutians and their forces, only for them to be met with a large gathering of Ultras. The rescue team escaped with Yullian, leaving Astra and Regulos on the planet to join the other warriors in their battle against the Absolutians. Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad
