The Trachodon was a dinosaur that lived during the Cretaceous period. A male and female trachodon appeared in Dinosaur Expedition Born Free.

History

Dinosaur Expedition Born Free

After an earthquake in Australia, prehistoric plant life appeared, and the Born Free concluded that a dinosaur must be there, and so did the poachers, who were the first to find the dinosaur as the Born Free had to get past a ravine. Attacked by the poachers, the Trachodon fought back, but the poachers lured it into a hole that started filling up with sand, the poachers wanted its head but two members of the Born Free intervened. The poachers were going to kill the two members when the mate of the Trachodon furiously attacked their vehicle and forced them to retreat. The Trachodon stood there helpless, letting out roars filled with sorrow as its mate sunk into the sand it couldn't do anything about it, it was about to fall victim to the sinkhole as well when the rest of the Born Free appeared. They lured it away from the hole and sedated it. The Born Free were saddened as they couldn't save them both but found comfort in the thought that at least they saved one. ^{Trachodon Tears}

A different Trachodon was later seen swimming in a lake in Florida when it was attacked by Lady Butler, who wanted revenge on the dinosaurs and the Born Free for her father's death. Her tank, armed with harpoons, dragged the herbivore on land, and the Trachodon was blown up with a stick of dynamite. The remains of the Trachodon were later found by the Born Free, and they buried them in the ground. ^{Demon of Revenge, Lady Butler!}

Trivia

• The Trachodon returns in Dinosaur Great War Izenborg. It would later get a new suit entirely for Dinosaur Squadron Koseidon.
• The Trachodon's mate and the third Trachodon are some of the few dinosaurs the Born Free did not manage to save.

• Powerful Legs: The Trachodon used its legs to kick the poachers' vehicle and managed to flip it over, twice.
• Amphibiousness: The Trachodon is stated to be an excellent swimmer and has adaptations for marine life, such as its webbed feet. It's stated that retreating into water is one of its main defenses against predators.
