Gilarus is the first virus Kaiju to fight Gridman in the series Denkou Choujin Gridman. He later becomes Mecha Gilarus . He is known as Krono in Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad.

Gridman
Gilarus
Takeshi’s first dinosaur-like monster, with a diamond-covered back. It was sent into the hospital's computer system as Daichi was undergoing surgery at that time. Gilarus created havoc in the operating room which prevented the surgeons from treating him. Naoto and the gang took it upon themselves to stop the mayhem.
Mecha Gilarus
However, normal antivirus methods were useless against the monster; but with the sudden appearance of Gridman, Naoto merged and quickly defeated the monster with the Grid Beam.
Mecha Gilarus
An upgraded form of Gilarus from episode 14 of Denkou Choujin Gridman. Gilarus' data was later upgraded into Mecha Gilarus, redesigned with body armor and steel claws. Mecha Gilarus was used to tamper with time all around the world and the internal clocks of every human; Yuka and Naoto were in the basement at the time and therefore were unaffected. The upgraded monster was destroyed by Thunder Gridman's Thunder Grid Beam.
Trivia
- Gilarus has an appearance similar to Gymaira from Ultraman 80.
- Gilarus is the only monster who has 2 American counterparts in Samurai Syber Squad because they considered his 2 forms separate creatures regular Gilarus is an unnamed virus while Mecha Gilarus is called the Kronos virus.
