HistoryEdit

Gorgos was an ancient monster whom had crashed on Earth from a meteor during ancient times. Awakening during the modern times, Gorgos emerged from a lake nearby Mt. Fuji and crashed down upon the highway. Because his boulder was obstructing traffic, it was dynamited into oblivion. Unfortunately, later that night after the destruction of the boulder, the chunks of his rock began to clump together, forming Gorgos's true form. Gorgos then moved through the forest, knocking over trees and causing a ruckus among the area. Takeru, a "modern day wildman" that lived in the forest was watching the beast, a tree fell down and pinned his foot from Gorgos's rampage.

The next day as a local police officer arrived and rescued the man, Gorgos returned and chased after the two men, forcing them to flee into a nearby cave. Shortly after Takeru rescued the officer from Gorgos, he climbed onto Gorgos's back, causing Gorgos to riot out of control. After and long and vicious tussle, Gorgos finally collapsed to the ground and died as Takeru pulled out the core of the monster and destroyed it. Gorgos's body was then buried beneath an avalanche that he had inadvertently caused during his tussle.

TriviaEdit

  • Suit actor: Haruyoshi Nakamura.
  • Gorgos's roar is a reused roar from the Toho Monsters King Kong and Godzilla.
  • In his episode appearance, Gorgos's name is never mentioned. He is only referred to by his subtitle: "The Rock Monster."
  • Earlier designs of Gorgos called for him to possess a whip-like tail. However, his final appearance does not possess one.
  • Originally, Gorgos was intended to be the monster that fought Gigass and Dorako in the series Ultraman, but he was replaced by Red King for unknown reasons.
