Iguanodon (イグアノドン Iguanodon?) is a well known genus of ornithopod dinosaur that lived during Early Cretaceous period of Asia, Europe, and North America.

A Iguanodon was one of the many poacher targets in Dinosaur Expedition Born Free.

Dinosaur Expedition Born Free

Caught in a pit trap, the Iguanodon caught the attention of the Born Free group AND a hungry Allosaur. Working against time itself, Born Free tossed a lasso over the spike thumbed lizard and tried to fly him out of the ground before the hungry therapod descended down on the defenseless reptile.


  • Despite being a herbivore, the Iguanodon in Born Free has sharp teeth.
  • The puppet, unlike many, did not appear in Ururu's underground kingdom in Great Dinosaur War Izenborg.
Trivia not relevant for the series=
  • Iguanodon means "Iguana-tooth" in Greek.
  • In real life, Iguanodon was a bipedal/quadrupedal herbivore. It could stand on its hindlimbs, and yet normally walk on all fours. If attacked, it could dissuade a predator with its powerful thumb spike.
