Masato Shimon is a famous Japanese actor and vocalist, very prolific in performing songs for many anime and tokusatsu franchises, especially in the Showa era. While his contributions to the Ultra Series are minimal, he performed a majority of the songs featured in non-Ultraman Tsuburaya tokusatsu shows, sometimes under the stage name Akira Tani . He has since retired and has remained out of the public eye since 1999.
