History[]

Ultraman Tiga[]

One day, Shinjoh requested Daigo bring his sister Mayumi to Maya Cruz's concert due to him being busy testing the Snow White. After her concert, Maya witnessed Daigo among her fans as she left. In space, Shinjoh encountered a strange light and crash landed on Earth, but survived was taken under care at the Dive Hangar, with Munakata finding strange music that was recorded by the ship's voice recorder. Meanwhile, Maya Cruz had been repeatedly having the same dream, in which she heard that very same song.

When Shinjoh awakened, he appeared to have amnesia, so Daigo explained to him that he was a member of GUTS and gave him a Maya Cruz DVD from Horii. After viewing it, Shinjoh tried to call Maya on the phone 50 times, saying he was her brother. Although Cruz's managers refused the calls, Maya could sense it was something urgent. That night, they both stared at the starry sky outside. Elsewhere, Daigo and Horii piloted the GUTS Wing 1 and shot down a UFO, but an alien inside escaped and possessed a human.

The next day, Daigo and Mayumi found Shinjoh missing, tracking him down to a teacup ride where he and Maya were speaking telephatically. Shinjoh explained that he was Maya's brother from a distant star and had come to retrieve her. With the next day being Maya Cruz's one year anniversary debut concert, Daigo believed she was the key to solving the case. After talking to her grandma, Daigo found Maya, whom revealed what "Shinjoh" had told her.

Maya as a young child

15 years prior, two alien siblings and their mother were immigrating to their colonies but an unexpected accident caused them to crash-land on Earth. As their life-support systems had malfunctioned, only two could return home, so they left one behind within the body of a child Maya Cruz, who had coincidentally just died in a car accident. The alien fulfilled the deceased girl's dream of being a singer and idol, becoming the person standing in front of Daigo today.

Daigo then met Maya's brother, still possessing Shinjoh's body, and asked why they had left her for 15 years. He explained that he was unable to as an alien race from a neighboring planet named Alien Natarn had invaded their planet, but now that they had killed his mother, he had come to retrieve Maya and search for a new home alongside other runaways. Suddenly, the other alien possessing a human from earlier, an Alien Natarn, arrived, revealing that he and Maya were the only two left. Maya's brother protected Daigo from Natarn's gun and was shot twice. When Daigo fought back, the alien revealed his true form and increased in size. Daigo transformed into Ultraman Tiga and defeated the assassin with ease.

Daigo returned to Maya's brother side, but was distraught as he succumbed to his wounds, seeing the starry sky in his final moments. The real Shinjoh finally awoke, feeling like the whole event was one long and sad dream.

After Maya's concert, Shinjoh, at Daigo's request, pretended to still be possessed and advised her to stay on Earth due to her being loved by her fans, promising to meet her again in the future. While reluctant at first, Maya seemingly realized the truth and agreed, shedding a tear as she said her goodbye to her brother. Blue Night's Memory
