The 1/8 Humans (1/8人間, Hachibun-no-Ichi Ningen) are characters who appeared in episode 17 of Ultra Q. They are very tiny, as short as a pencil. Their name derives from the fact that they are roughly one-eighth of the height of an ordinary human.

History[]

Ultra Q[]

The 1/8th humans were supposedly an experiment by the Japanese government to test a possible solution to overpopulation. The citizens of a city were miniaturized down to one-eighth of their original size, where they lived in an equally-sized metropolis. However, it was revealed at the end of the episode that the previous events were simply a woman's dream.
