Ultraman Orb (ウルトラマンオーブ Urutoraman Ōbu?) is the main hero of his series.[1] Described as a 'wanderer', Orb continues the theme of Ultras powered by devices that was started three years earlier by Ginga's debut series. He is able to utilize the abilities of his fellow Ultras to transform and gain their powers. At the same time, the Spark Dolls trend of said series has also finally ended.

Aesthetically, Ultraman Orb's motif is based on past Ultra Warriors, which is meant to coincide with Tsuburaya's 50th year anniversary of the Ultra Series. The most concrete evidence is his basic form, Spacium Zeperion, which is based on Ultraman and Ultraman Tiga. Of course, it is also meant as a milestone celebration for the two aforementioned Ultra Warriors' titular series, celebrating their 50th and 20th anniversary respectively. Originally, Ultraman Orb was first teased in a promotional video by Tsuburaya Productions which commemorates the aforementioned anniversary. At the end of the video, a black background with a pair of Ultraman eyes can be seen, with the English letters shown "What's next...?".[2]

Background wise, according to one of Ultraman Orb's writers, Takao Nakano, Orb (and by extension his human form, Gai Kurenai) had his conception based on Ultraseven, whom, like Orb, uses human disguises and started their lives as wanderers on Earth sometime before the setting of their series. Aside from that, other motives and elements include Japanese novel Lone Samurai Monjiro, American actor Clint Eastwood (whose known for his role as wanderers) and singer Tsunehiko Kamijō's image song, Dareka ga Kaze no Naka de. All this is done under the purpose to "re-invoke the wanderer hero in the 21st century world".[3]

History

The Light of Orb.

Orb's light appeared as a bright halo of light located at a mountain peak called Warrior's Summit on the Planet O-50. Two elite warriors, Gai and Juggler tried to harness the light but out of the two, only Gai was successful, becoming the current giant he is known as. Leaving O-50, their first mission is to stop the threat of Psychi and his army of Bezelbs.[4] Being inexperienced at first, Orb lost against a Bezelb on Planet Rurin until Juggler advised to use his beam properly. Orb later fought with a Kugutsu infected Bemstar and lost once more. After defeating the Bemstar in space, he joined forces with the Kanon Royal Guards Micott and Ricca on a journey to Planet Zain, where Psychi and the Queen Bezelb and her children reside. While chasing Psychi to Kanon, he is joined by two senior Ultras Dyna and Cosmos as they thwart the mad scientist's invasion and saved Kanon Queen Amate/War God from Kugutsu infection.

After Juggler deserted Gai for destroying the Tree of Life, the latter was sent by Amate towards the Earth to protect the giant tree once more with the help of Earth scientists Shohei and Yui. The Kanon queen ended up following him later on due to her obligation to protect the tree as Gai met more of his predecessors, the Earth Ultras Gaia and Agul. After narrowly escaping Psychi's trap with the help of Juggler, Gai/Orb proceeded to protect the Queen Bezelb when she and her younglings defended the Tree of Life from Japanese soldiers but ended up getting infected with the Kugutsu after using Orb's body as a meat shield to protect the War God. He nearly succumbed to the poison's effect until Juggler saved him again under his own proxy to surpass the warrior of light. With all of his predecessors gathered, Orb joined them in the final battle against Psyqueen, purifying the War God with Shohei's help and rescued Psychi from his own death.

With the Queen Bezelb dead, Gai was commended by his predecessors, before returning to Planet O-50. Orb as Origin the First was upgraded into Orb Origin before embarking on his second mission.

Chapter 2: "I am the Migration Bird of Galaxy" arc

Gai/Orb embarked on his second mission to collect all four elemental powers of the Orbcalibur. While fulfilling his mission, Gai took a Planet Cobol native Shorty under his wing and has solving conflicts within their journey. After fighting his estranged partner Juggler, Gai claimed the Wind jewel as the final component for Orbcalibur.

Chapter 3: "The Man Who Stole the Black Hole" arc

After Juggler caused a prison break on Planet 484, Gai was called by the Interstellar Alliance to stop the former when he threatened to endanger the entire universe. Although Orb had neutralized the prison break, Shorty died after disarming the Balloonga Bomb.

Gai received the third mission to stop the awakening of Maga-Orochi and was given the Orb Ring. With Juggler obtaining the Dark Ring, both had became sworn enemies ever since then as their fight turns into a symbol of light and darkness.

Chapter 4: "Fight! Ishtal Civilization" arc

Gai and Juggler arrived on the planet Earth in the year 1800 BC. When Juggler unleashed Maga-Tanothor on Ishtal civilization, Orb fought against the monster and obtain Tiga's card but their battle resulted with Ishtal turned into the Mound of the Dead (Mohenjo-Daro).

Chapter 5: "From Rusalka with Love" arc

In 1908, Gai/Orb fought against Kingsaurus II in Lake Baikal and Super C.O.V. in fjord valley in his journey to Rusalka. His fight with C.O.V. caused him to lose his memories before meeting Natasha.

After 1 month of recuperation, Pris-ma appears and its appearance allows Gai to recover his memories of being Orb. Gai transformed and fought Pris-ma and destroying it as well. With the aforementioned monsters that Orb destroyed, Juggler harvested their cards and released Maga-Zetton. Still haven't fully recovered from the previous fight, Gai become Orb and fought Maga-Zetton after telling Natasha he will return. When Orb tries to get Natasha away from danger, Maga-Zetton unleashed a fireball that seemingly killed him. Orb then unleashed the full power of Orb Supreme Calibur and killed Maga-Zetton while also engulfing the forest. As a result, Gai sealed Orb Origin and had to rely on Ultraman and Tiga cards to assume his Specium Zeperion form in future battles.

In 1950s, Orb dealt with the Hungler, a saucer monster that was brought down by Biranki and caused the infamous Burlesque Triangle.

Chapter 6-0: "Overture" arc

Before journeying to Japan in 2016, 108 years later, Orb fought Peguila at the North Arctic.

Ultraman Orb vs Maga-Basser.

Orb continues to fight against the King Demon Beasts in Japan. He comes across the SSP and VTL Squad leader Ittetsu Shibukawa, saving them on numerous occasions and received new Ultra Fusion Cards with every King Demon Beast he eliminated. But in truth, he unknowingly assisted Juggler to reawaken Maga-Orochi and succeeded after stealing Ultraman Belial's card from Planet Invasion Union.

After Juggler stole his cards, Princess Tamayura gave Gai the cards of Zoffy and Ultraman Belial, with her "destruction" allowed the dark Ultra to provide Gai his powers. This resulted in the birth of Thunder Breaster, a form that solely focus on destruction. Because of its performance against Maga-Orochi, Gai grows fearful of this power and once more proven fatal when he had no choice but to use it against Galactron. Although winning against his opponent, he also had endangered two people at once, first is a Z-VTOL pilot whose ship crashed into the mountains and later on Naomi when she was kidnapped as Galactron's hostage. As a result from his previous fight, Orb was branded as a public enemy.

Regaining Orb Origin

Still in doubt of himself, he returned to Rusalka and met Juggler again, who summoned Zeppandon, a King Demon Beast that is a fusion of Zetton, Pandon and Maga-Orochi's tail. Although being coerced by Juggler in their fight, Orb refused to utilize Belial's power again and instead use Burnmite's Stobium Dynamite as a cover to escape.

The next day, Juggler awakened Zeppandon again near the Forbidden Forest. Cleared of his own fears, Orb utilized and successfully maintaining control of Thunder Breaster. While Zeppandon proved stronger and him being attacked by Z-VTOL planes, Orb shielded the SSP members and thanks to Jetta's filming, his public reputation has been restored. Under Gai's previous order, Naomi sings the melody that accompanies Gai's Orbnica song, Orb/Gai regains faith in his powers and the ability to transform into his original form, Orb Origin. In this form, he shrugged off incoming attacks and overpowered Zeppandon using the Orbcalibur before finishing the monster for good. Despite regaining Orb Origin, he still preferred to use his Fusion Up forms and resort to use the former when the situation calls for it. Nearing close to the final arc, Gai settled his scores with Tarude, Maddock and Juggler himself.

A threat that was predicted by many had arrived in the form of Magata no Orochi, the adult form of Maga-Orochi which was thought to have been killed by Orb himself. The Ultra Warrior faced it again but even the same form he used before (Thunder Breaster) and his original power can't deliver the slightest damage to the monster.The Ultimate King Devil Beast Strikes Back Untransformed, an exhausted Gai was forced to deal with Juggler when he kidnapped Naomi in hopes of driving the former to despair. When Naomi confidently took responsibility of her own death, Juggler wasn't able to carry out the deed and instead rescued her from a crashed Z-VTOL. This event revealed that he was Natasha's rescuer in the past and for Gai to embrace his rival.

Leaving Naomi in Juggler's care, Gai transformed into Orb and charged with all his might, using Spacium Zeperion, Burnmite and finally Orb Origin but neither of them can hurt the beast. Juggler assisted his rival after persuasions from Naomi and the rest of the SSP and VTL reveal the monster's weak spot. While Juggler was restrained by Magata no Orochi, Orb used the powers of his Ultra Fusion Cards and fired their signature beams at the monster, ending the prophesied destruction from the ancient past. He reverted to Gai, bidding farewell to Naomi (who actually knew his true identity from the start) and left to parts unknown after swearing to return someday.The Sunset Wanderer

Ultraman Orb The Movie: Lend Me The Power of Bonds!

Gai returned to the SSP after a long time traveling around the Earth and met Ultraman X in his X Devizer, who sought his help to search for his separated host Daichi Ozora. But during that time, Mulnau and her forces appeared and captured X as part of her space jewel collection.

Ultra Fight Orb

After fighting against a Demaaga on Earth, Orb trailed its energy to space and assisted Zero in defeating Juda Spectre and Mecha Gomora. Seeing Demaaga's case related to the darkness in Planet Yomi, Orb offered Zero a hand and the two were greeted by its mastermind Reibatos. Although Orb managed to catch him on trail, he was defeated due to Reibatos' immortality. This leaves him in training with Seven and Zero for 10 years and eventually received a new form called Emerium Slugger. Shortly after defeating Tyrant, he pursued Reibatos in his dimension and defeated the villain via continuous attacks. In the Land of Light, Orb was offered the Star Marks but denied them as he is just a passing wanderer and left.

  • Ultra Armor: Orb has the standard Ultra Armor, being resistant to fire and lasers.
  • Forehead Crystal: Orb has a crystal on his forehead that changes color according to his forms. It can be used to fire beams such as the Triple Emerium Ray or the Knuckle Cross Beam.
  • Protector (プロテクター Purotekutā?): Orb has 4 metallic pieces of smaller Protectors on his chest. This feature is present from Orb Origin/Origin the First and is carried over to all of his in-series Fusion Ups, except Emerium Slugger. They are absent from the game-exclusive forms except Leo Zero Knuckle and Power Strong.

Fusion Up forms exclusive (In-series)

  • Protector (プロテクター Purotekutā?): Orb has Protectors in his Spacium Zeperion, Hurricane Slash and Emerium Slugger forms.
  • Ultra Horns (ウルトラホーン Urutora Hōn?): In his Burnmite form, Orb has Ultra Horns similar to Taro's in shape and Father of Ultra's in size. It is unknown if these Ultra Horns can manipulate large amounts of energy like the horns of the former two.
  • Orb Sluggers (オーブスラッガー Ōbu Suraggā?): In his Hurricane Slash and Emerium Slugger forms, Orb has a pair of Crest Weapons attached to his head. Unlike typical crest weapons, they do not detach from his head.
  • Eye Slugger (アイスラッガー Ai Suraggā?): In addition to his Orb Sluggers, Orb possesses an exact copy of Seven's signature weapon while in Emerium Slugger form.
  • Ultra Breaster (ウルトラブレスター Urutora Buresutā?): In his Thunder Breaster form, Orb inherits Zoffy's signature badges of honor on his shoulders.
  • Cyber Mechanic (サイバーメカニック Saibā Mekanikku?): Orb's Ultra Armor in Lightning Attacker form modeled after futuristic technology.
  • Zenshin Crystals (全身のクリスタル Zenshin no Kurisutaru?): As Orb Trinity or Lightning Attacker, Orb possesses these in the same places that Ginga and Victory do.

Transformation

Gai first scans a pair of Ultra Fusion Cards in the Orb Ring, creating a projection of its two corresponding Ultra Warriors as the screen facing the respective angle of their faces. Afterwards, he performs a specific movement and raises the Orb Ring up which causes his body to transform into Ultraman Orb with his entire body being covered in a luminous silhouette. The Ultra projections shine the same color as their respective Ultra Fusion Card's attribute and combine with Orb to create their corresponding form. This caused his silhouette to evaporate and unveiled its corresponding form. After the rising sequence, Orb delivers a specific pre-battle catchphrase just before descending into the fight.

Despite the long transformation step, this was done in a time freezing sequence as in episode 5, Orb switches from Spacium Zeperion to Hurricane Slash in a moment in mid-air whereas Gai's sequence was supposedly longer than the intended time.A Heart That Won't Flee If at any point the transformation is interrupted from within, the time freezing effect is lost.The Dark King's Blessing

After scanning both cards, Gai simply raises the Orb Ring up similar to both Ultraman's Beta Capsule and Tiga's Spark Lens. During the rise sequence, the background first appears to resemble that of the opening sequence from Ultraman's TV series (a green twisted spiral followed by a red explosion) before changing to Tiga's rise sequence for Orb to appear. Flashes of light occur in the background similar to Ultraman and Tiga's rise scenes.

In the final episode, Gai while running transforms in a real time sequence as projections of Ultraman and Tiga fly alongside him before he transforms into Orb Origin and the former two combine with him to form Spacium Zeperion.The Sunset Wanderer

After scanning both cards, Gai spreads his arm backwards similar to Taro's transformation sequence and twists his body backwards similar to Mebius' transformation sequence before raising the Orb Ring up. During the rise sequence, the background first appears to resemble that of the opening sequence from Ultraman Taro's TV series (plain black with a flash of light) before changing to Mebius' rise background for Orb to appear. As he moves forward, silver loops from Taro's rise also appear.

After scanning both cards, Gai raises his right hand similar to Jack's transformation sequence before he lowers it for his left arm to approach closer to his face similar to Zero's Ultra Zero Eye and then raises the Orb Ring up. During the rise sequence, the background first appears as Jack's rise sequence before changing to Zero's rise sequence for Orb to appear. As he moves closer, a similar background to Shining Zero's rise takes place.

In his first transformation, Gai is incapable of utilizing Belial's power but once given approval, Belial introduced himself by having a tear opening up to reveal his front face, laughing towards the screen. After scanning both cards, Gai roars in rage while vigorously flailing his arms forward similar to Kaiser Belial's usage of the Kaiser Belial Claws before he raises the Orb Ring.

After scanning both cards, Gai slowly swings his left and right arm before twisting his body backwards and then raising the Orb Ring.

During the rise sequence, the background first appears as the Space Prison covered in a reddish-like aura (the same from Alien Reiblood's assimilation with Belial) before changing to blue (based on the opening sequence from Zoffy's feature movie) for Orb to appear where it changes once again to dark red (based on Belial's aura when forming Beryudora). As he moves closer, the background briefly changes to an orange background similar to Zoffy's rising scene in the final episode of Ultraman Mebius before changing to emerald with multiple colors based on the colors of Arch Belial.

When scanning both cards, Ginga and X faces towards the screen besides Gai as their upper chest are also shown. After scanning both cards, Gai swings his arms in a circular fashion similar to Ginga's transformation sequence and throws his arms back to his left similar to X's transformation sequence and then raises the Orb Ring up. His silhouette does not evaporates and the scene skips to his rise. During the rise sequence, Orb rises with his arms crossed in front of his chest like X does, rising in a galaxy similar to Ginga's rise before changing to cyberspace and releasing an "X" construct while having a spiral galaxy behind it. He changes his arm positions as the background changes yet again to resemble X's, while yellow lightning bolts come off him throughout the rise scene.

Ultraman X bestows Orb his own Ultra Fusion Card and then gets Ultraman Ginga's Ultra Fusion Card from the audience. After scanning the cards, the transformation scene unveils Orb in Spacium Zeperion (instead of Gai himself or Orb Origin's silhouette), placing his arms on his chest in a cross position before lifting up his left hand. After that the scene changes to reminisce X's rise background where Lightning Attacker approaches the screen.

Instead of only their heads, Seven and Zero's entire body (save their lower waist) are shown in a different angle. Gai performs Leo/Zero's Space Kempo stance before he puts his arm in a cross and brings them backwards in a similar manner to Seven's rise. Once he raises the Orb Ring, his silhouette as Orb combines with Seven and Zero as it evaporates and a pair of Crest Weapons circulate his body and attach themselves to his head. During his rising scene, a blank spatial background appears where Orb rises from Seven's transformation spark as it changes into the opening of his series background and finally changes into those of Zero's rising scene.



Gai scans the Orb Origin card to bring forth the Orbcalibur and spin its wheel. Then he raises the sword upwards and presses the trigger, causing all four element symbols on the sword to shine and create an energy orb from which Orb Origin rises.


Gai presses the trigger of the Orbcalibur and raises it towards the air. Origin The First soon appears from a red background and approaches the screen while the background changes colors and rings of light appear.

In the final episode of The Origin Saga, Gai shouted Orb's name before he transforms, doing so in synchronization with his seniors.

Unlike the Fusion Up, his card components first circulate around Gai before he takes and scans them. After pressing the Orb Ring's trigger, the Orb Slasher materializes where he proceed to slide his finger downwards, before spinning his hands in circle and raises the weapon.

The summoned Ultra projections combine with Orb's silhouette but instead of evaporating, it absorbs nearby matter to unveil himself. Orb Trinity rises in a background of a galaxy and cyberspace, while crystal shards are dispersed in the background, before switching his arm position as he moves closer.


Forms

After Ultraman Orb loses his original powers (and by extent, his Orb Origin form), he relies upon the use of Ultra Fusion Cards that he acquires where he combines the power of past two Ultra Warriors. Each combination results in different forms, but while assuming them Orb still has traces left from Orb Origin, such as his Ultra Armor (chest), red vector-shaped linings on his legs and a black-colored neck.

Spacium Zeperion

Spacium Zeperion (スペシウムゼペリオン Supeshiumu Zeperion?) is Orb's default balanced form which uses assets of Ultraman and Ultraman Tiga. This form debuts in episode 1.

In this form, Orb utilizes various beam-oriented attacks. He is also capable of channeling the abilities of Tiga's Type Change forms, each signified by one of his markings glowing brightly.

This form's name is a portmanteau of Ultraman's "Specium Ray" and Tiga's "Zepellion Ray".

    • Superpowered Sperion Ray: An ability exclusive to Ultraman Festival 2016's second stageshow, Episode Z. Orb fires his Sperion Ray as usual, but it is charged up by the other rays of the present Ultras, which includes Ultraman's Specium Ray, X's Xanadium Ray, Zero's Wide Zero Shot, Mebius' Mebium Shoot, 80's Saxium Ray, Yullian's energy, Great's Burning Plasma, Tiga's Zepellion Ray, Taro's Storium Ray, Ginga's Ginga Cross Shoot and Victory's Victorium Shoot. It is powerful enough to destroy Z's Zetton Alien Baltan.
  • Sperion Light Ring (スペリオン光輪 Superion Kōrin?): Orb forms a purple buzzsaw-like projectile disc to slice his opponent, performed in a similar manner to the charge up of both Ultraman's Ultra Slash and Tiga's Zepellion Ray, and with a sound similar to that of the Ultra Slash. When using this attack, Orb emits Ultraman's grunt. Once thrown, it travels on a straight path, but if needed, it can be caught and redirected. Alternatively, it is also regarded as Sperion Slash (スペリオンスラッシュ Superion Surasshu?) by certain materials. Other variants are:
    • A gigantic variation where Orb summoned the Light Ring, charging it into a larger halo before tossing it to the enemy.
    • A hand-sized energy shuriken, which can be fired multiple times.
  • Energy Arrows (Name Unknown): Orb can launch energy arrows. Used against Deavorick.
Past Ultra Warrior Finishers

As part of the game's original function, players can also gain access to regular finishers used by the Ultra Warrior's components. This however must be set beforehand based on the card chosen.

  • Sky Type's Speed: By tapping into Ultraman Tiga's power, Orb can manifest the super speed of Sky Type. While channeling this ability, the purple markings on his body glows.
    • Afterimages: By circling around the opponent, Orb is able to create several afterimages of himself that simultaneously attack the opponent with larger attacks.
  • Sperion Shield (スペリオンシールド Superion Shīrudo?): A barrier used to defend Orb from incoming attacks. This shield can be also used to push objects away physically.
    • Another variant is also used where he can reflect incoming laser instead of blocking it.
  • Orb Shower (オーブ水流 Ōbu Suiryū?): A high stream of water released from Orb's clasped hands, similar to Ultraman's Ultra Shower.
  • Shutdown Protect (シャットダウンプロテクト Shatto Daun Purotekuto?): Orb releases a stream of blue energy from his right hand at the enemy. He then spreads it to his left hand which encases the enemy inside of a bubble. This bubble is raised in a similar manner to Ultraman's Ultra Air Catch and Ultraman Tiga's Miracle Balloon Beam and can then be maneuvered.
  • X-Ray Vision (Name Unknown): Orb can use X-Ray vision to see through objects. This was first used to find Naomi Yumeno's location within Galactron.

This technique is also accessible in Ultraman Fusion Fight! should the players choose to scan Ultraman Taro's card number 2-010.
    • Dynamite Kick: Orb uses the power of the Stobium Dynamite and harnesses it into his Swallow Kick, empowering it with fiery and explosive power.

    • Orb Lancer Shoot (オーブランサーシュート Obu Ransā Shūto?): By pulling the Gear Lever once, Orb can perform a beam attack with the Orb Slugger Lance.
    • Big Bang Thrust (ビッグバングスラスト Biggu Bangu Surasuto?): By pulling the Gear Lever twice, Orb can stab his opponent with the Orb Slugger Lance. He then charges towards his opponent, causing an explosion.
    • Trident Slash (トライデントスラッシュ Toraidento Surasshu?): By pulling the Gear Lever thrice, Orb can slash his opponent with the Orb Slugger Lance at a very quick pace.
    • Tornado: By spinning the Orb Slugger Lance at high speeds, a tornado can be generated that is able to push enemies away.
    • Reversal: By spinning the Orb Slugger Lance at high speeds, Orb is able to block incoming attacks and then send it back at the attacker.

During his second battle with Galactron, Orb utilizes a portion of dark energy to help him grabbing the robot's flying right arm and throw against it.
    • Durability: Orb can withstand Maga-Orochi's Maga Thunderclap ability without much trouble while his other forms were devastated by it.

Lightning Attacker (ライトニングアタッカー Raitoningu Atakkā?) is Orb's form which uses assets of Ultraman Ginga and Ultraman X.[5] Unlike most in-series Fusion Up forms, Lightning Attacker opted Orb Origin's Protectors for one that resembles X's Ultra Armor and Ginga's Zenshin Crystals. The form started off as one of the four Fusion Up in the game-exclusives Version 1 of Ultraman Fusion Fight! before it materialized as actual figures/suits in Ultra Fight Orb.

It also appeared in the second stage show of 2016 Ultraman Festival, which Orb uses to fight against the biological weapon Z and his army of Zetton. However, said appearance was not in-suit, but rather in CGI.[6] Like the TV appearances of Ultraman Orb's Fusion Up, this one also had its own announcement: "Lend me the possibility of the future!" (未来への可能性お借りします! Mirai e no Kanōsei Okarishimasu!?).[7]

This form's name is a portmanteau of Ginga's "Ginga Thunderbolt" (a synonym of Lightning) and X's "Attacker X".

Emerium Slugger (エメリウムスラッガー Emeriumu Suraggā?), also named "Emelium Slugger" by some official sources, is Orb's form which uses the assets of Ultraseven and Ultraman Zero. Unlike most in-series Fusion-Up forms, Emerium Slugger opted Orb Origin's Protectors for one that resembles Seven's Protectors and Zero's Zero Twin Shoot.

The teaser of the fourth wave of Ultraman Fusion Fight! has Orb chanting "Lend me the power of father and son!" (親子の力、おかりします! Oyako no chikara, okari shimasu!?),[8] which is also the same quote used to promote the Ultra Heroes Expo 2017.[9] The form started off as one of the two Fusion Up in the game-exclusives Version 4 of Ultraman Fusion Fight! before materialized as actual figures/suits in Ultra Fight Orb.

  • Triple Emerium Ray (トリプルエメリウム光線 Toripuru Emeriumu Kōsen?): Orb fires a stronger version of the Emerium Ray from his forehead. Instead of causing an explosion, this beam seems to cut through its target.
  • Hyper Ultra Knock Tactic (ハイパーウルトラノック戦法 Haipā Urutora Nokku Senpō?): Orb fires all three of his Sluggers at his target, they surround his target while slashing at them. It is performed in a similar manner to that of Seven's Ultra Knock Tactics.

  • Zenshin Crystals (全身のクリスタル Zenshin no Kurisutaru?): Like Ginga, Orb is coated with Zenshin Crystals on his arms, head, shoulders and Protectors.

  • Arm Blade: Like Mebius and Ginga, Orb can generate an arm blade via the arm crystal.
  • Rainbow-colored Light Swords: Orb is capable of generating multitude swords, which are rainbow colored. He can either used them as melee weapons or flying drones.

This form's name is a portmanteau of Zoffy's "Ultra Breaster" and Hikari's various Knight techniques.

  • Trench Coat: Orb wears a large trench coat with long sleeves.
  • Star Marks (スターマーク Sutā Māku?): A combined feature from Zoffy and Hikari, several of them can be seen on the trench coat, although there is at least a pair on his original chest.

    • Energy Conversion: Orb can use the Orbcalibur to absorb attacks and use them to counterattack.
    • Energy Slash: Orb performs an energy slash by striking the opponent.
      • Crescent Energy Wave: Orb slashes the Orbcalibur towards the enemy, unleashing a crescent-shaped wave of energy and damages them.
    • Shield: The Orbcalibur can act as a shield to block attacks.
    • Calibur Shield (カリバーシールド Karibā Shīrudo?): The Orbcalibur is capable of erecting a circular barrier. It can be launched at the enemy to stun them.
    • Orb Supreme Calibur (オーブスプリームカリバー Ōbu Supurīmu Karibā?): Orb unleashes an energy stream from his sword, which is capable of destroying even the strongest of opponents. Should he use it in full anger, the resulting blast will be powerful enough to create a city-wide explosion and it slowly disintegrates the weapon before breaking apart once it reaches the Calibur Wheel.
      • Another variation exists where Orb uses the power of his 8 Ultra Fusion Cards in conjunction with the Orb Supreme Calibur, but instead of a beam he flings the Orbcalibur at the opponent while the 8 Ultras fire their signature beams. He then fires his Origium ray, resulting in an extremely powerful attack that can even kill Magata no Orochi and cause a massive explosion, similar to when he defeated Maga-Zetton.
    • Calibur Wheel (カリバーホイール Karibā Hoīru?): The roulette of the Orbcalibur, it can act as a slicer to slash foes. When doing so, it glows white.
    • Elemental Attacks: Based on the Calibur Wheel selections on the Orbcalibur, Orb Origin can perform attacks based on four elements.
      • Orb Flame Calibur (オーブフレイムカリバー Ōbu Fureimu Karibā?): When the Calibur Wheel is set to the fire symbol, Orb creates a ring of fire by making a circular motion with his sword. He then thrusts his sword, throwing it towards the enemy where he traps them in an orb of fire before slicing both the flame construct and the target as well, causing an explosion.
      • Orb Water Calibur (オーブウォーター Ōbu Uōtā Karibā?): When the Calibur Wheel is set to the water symbol, Orb brings both him and the target into a pocket dimension of water. Next, he traps the opponent in a whirlpool and slices them.
      • Orb Ground Calibur (オーブグランドカリバー Ōbu Gurando Karibā?): When the Calibur Wheel is set to the earth symbol, Orb stabs his sword into the ground to release electrical currents in a circular formation that would strike the opponent. This attack is strong enough to penetrate the Zeppandon Shield.
      • Orb Wind Calibur (オーブウインドカリバー Ōbu Uindo Karibā?): When the Calibur Wheel is set to the wind symbol, Orb creates a powerful tornado by swinging his sword in a circular motion. This attack is capable of sending an enemy flying.
Combination
  • Mega Kizuna Ray (メガキズナ光線 Mega Kizuna Kōsen? Mega Bond Ray): A combination attack performed alongside Ultraman X. This appears in Ultraman Festival 2017.

Origin The First (オリジン・ザ・ファースト Orijin Za Fāsuto?) is Orb's original form when Gai only used the Orbcalibur without the Orb Ring to transform. This form is exclusive to Ultraman Orb THE ORIGIN SAGA. It is Orb's base form, and is based on the basic red and silver colors that the Showa Ultras have.

  • Origium Ray (オリジウム光線 Orijiumu Kōsen?): Origin The First's beam finisher, firstly done by charging energies on his hands before performing the standard "+" sign and firing an energy beam. He can also switch to a larger version during the initial firing by opening his arms to the side.
  • Orb Slicer Attack (オーブスライサーアタック Ōbu Suraisā Atakku?): Orb can fire multiple energy arrows from his hand. They are powerful enough to destroy smaller Bezelbs in one hit.
  • Orb Boomerang (オーブブーメラン Ōbu Būmeran?): A blue arc of energy.
    • Crescent Smash: Orb first launches the crescent energy wave, then flies far back and performs a flying kick towards it. It has enough power to obliterate a massive asteroid.
  • Cutting Halo: Orb can throw a red buzzsaw disc at the opponent. This technique is the same as Orb Origin's Origium Saucer but official materials has yet to confirm if they are the same attack.
  • Energy Vortex: Orb gathers his whole body's energy and releases it in all directions by spinning it around.
Physical
  • Energy Body Charge: Orb rushes at the enemy at high speed, going right through them. Since it was only used against Kugutsu Bemstar from the inside, it is unknown if this ability has the same effect other enemies. This attack is similar to Ultraman Zero's Particluna Miracle.
  • Orb Punch (オーブパンチ Ōbu Panchi?): A punch attack.
  • Orb Chop (オーブチョップ Ōbu Choppu?): A vertical chop attack.
Other
  • Size Change: As with all Ultras in existence, Orb can grow from his default 10 m size to 50 m tall.
  • Barrier (バリヤー Bariyā?): Orb can erect a barrier to block enemy attacks. Another variant is used with Cosmos to contain an infected War God.
  • Lightning Rod (Name Unknown): Orb can throw a rod of lightning at a target. It is unknown how powerful this ability is, as it was only used to purify the War God from the Kugutsu.
  • Extraction: Orb can extract seeds from the Tree of Life.

    • Buzzsaw Slash: The blades on the Orb Slasher can rotate for it to be used as a buzzsaw weapon.
    • Trinitium Break (トリニティウムブレイク Torinitiumu Bureiku?): Orb Trinity's melee attack performed by sliding the Orb Slasher's panel downwards thrice, then pulling its trigger. Orb first peforms an action similar to that of Ginga's Ginga Cross Shoot, then he charges up the energy in Orb Slasher and fires prismatic discs of light, then slashes the opponent from above.
    • Trinitium Shoot (トリニティウムシュート Torinitiumu Shūto?): Orb Trinity's beam attack performed by sliding the Orb Slasher's panel downwards twice, then pulling its trigger. Orb forms a 'V' like in Victory's Victorium shoot, then draws a circle of light. He then sends out a beam from the Orb Slasher.
    • Trinitium Light Ring (トリニティウム光輪 Torinithiumu Kōrin?): Orb's finishing attack performed by sliding the Orb Slasher's panel downwards thrice, then pressing its Boost Switch (ブーストスイッチ Būsuto Suitchi?) on the bottom. After which, Orb performs an action similar to that of X charging his Xanadium Ray before performing a typical Ultra Slash style action. Then the Light Ring materializes above Orb, comprised of the symbols that represent all 4 Ultras and is then sent straight towards the opponent.

The Ultras used in each of Orb's forms share something in common with each other.

Fusion Up (In-Series)
  • Ultraman + Ultraman Tiga = Spacium Zeperion: They both serve as the main representative of their eras (Showa for the former and Heisei for the latter) in most Ultraman stage shows, press conferences, and promotions. Their fighting skills are also notably well balanced and had also encountered bird monsters in their series, whose motive is to avenge the death of their child and was spared by their respective Ultra Warriors. In real life, Orb's series is a milestone celebration of the 50th and 20th anniversaries of Ultraman and Ultraman Tiga respectively.
  • Ultraman Taro + Ultraman Mebius = Burnmite: They are both members of the Ultra Brothers, with the latter being a student to the former. They were also notably rookies of the Space Garrison during their first arrival on Earth, where they received character development as their respective series progressed. Additionally, both of them fused with the other Ultra Brothers during their movies in order to defeat an enemy that was too powerful for them to defeat individually.
  • Ultraman Jack + Ultraman Zero = Hurricane Slash: They are both related in some manner to Ultraseven (the former is his brother-in-arms, while the latter is his son), whom they received their respective Ultra Bracelets from. They have also each fought against an Alien Bat who both revived and enhanced a past monster under their control.
  • Zoffy + Ultraman Belial = Thunder Breaster: This combination is ironic as it not only represents good and evil, but Zoffy notably has an incorruptible will and more self-control compared to Belial. However, they are both known for being members of the Space Garrison in their past, and have even fought alongside Ken and Marie. They are also one of the strongest Ultra Warriors to date (Zoffy for his M87 Ray and Belial for his strength), as well as leaders of a group consisted of six (the former leads the Ultra Brothers, while the latter leads the Darkness Five). Predating Belial from his debut in the 2009 movie, Zoffy had twice been turned evil within game publications for the Ultra Series.
  • Ultraman Ginga + Ultraman X = Lightning Attacker: They are production-wise the first to appear in their respective universes until later media revealed that there are actually other Ultra Warriors that preceded them (Ultraman Victory and Ultraman Tiga respectively) in ancient times. Coincidentally, both of their predecessors are also Earth-born Ultras as well as the two original narrators of Shin Ultraman Retsuden. In their series proper, they lost their original bodies from a past battle, forcing them to inhabit their transformation devices and bonded with their hosts as means of temporarily fighting in a physical shape again. In the final episode, they fought against a villain whose powers are associated to Spark Dolls. Both Ultras also have a connection to the future, Ginga was stated to have been from the future, while Exceed X, X's upgraded form's crest weapon, the Xlugger, is said to play an important role in the future by Daichi's mother. In real life, their voice actors are known for being close friends and hosts of the late night show Tokyo Encounter, so much so that their friendship is often joked about by their fellow co-workers.
  • Ultraseven + Ultraman Zero = Emerium Slugger: Aside from their father-son relationship, Seven and Zero have faced off against mechanical doppelgangers of themselves that served an evil faction. Both have also fought alongside their non-Ultra companions (Seven's Capsule Kaiju and Ultimate Force Zero), as well as traveled to an alternate universe to stop an alien invasion that plagued the Earth. During their dimensional travel, they acquired new forms (Seven into Seven X and Zero with Mode Changes). Finally, their powers were once exploited by an evil force, resulting in their appearances being greatly altered.
    • Seven: Utilized by Seiichiro Isurugi into Ultraseven Dark.
    • Zero: Possessed by Ultraman Belial into Zero Darkness.
Fusion-Up (Game-Exclusive)
  • Ultraman Gaia + Ultraman Victory = Photon Victorium: They are both Earth-born Ultra Warriors with their powers being drawn from Earth-like energies (Gaia Energy and Victorium respectively). They have also both received their upgrades from blue-colored secondary Ultra Warriors, with both forms coincidentally associated to swords.
    • Gaia: Ultraman Gaia Version 2 via Ultraman Agul's human host, Hiroya Fujimiya, giving him his light.
    • Victory: Ultraman Victory Knight via Ultraman Hikari creating the Knight Timbre for him to utilize.
  • Ultraman Tiga + Ultraman Max = Sky Dash Max: They are both connected to ancient human civilizations (the former is part of the Ancient Giants of Light, while the latter had banished Alien Tarla's brethren away from Earth). Their fighting styles are also primarily based on speed, strength, and aerial combat. During the final episodes of their respective series, they were petrified after losing to gigantic opponents before they were revived and able to fight on the same level. After their job on Earth had ended, their human hosts married the female protagonist of their series in later life, with recent media implying their descendants ended up following their footsteps. It is also known that they had fought a pair of Kaiju in their first appearance, with one of them returned sometime later in their series as upgraded variants:
    • Tiga: Fought Golza and Melba upon his reawakening. Golza returned in episode 18 as Empowered Golza after escaping the last battle.
    • Max: Fought Lagoras and Grangon upon first arrival on Earth. Another Lagoras appeared in episode 31, revealed to have evolved after defeating another Grangon.
  • Ultraman Cosmos + Ultraman X = Full Moon Xanadium: They both have human hosts (Musashi Haruno and Daichi Ozora respectively) who are known for being pacifists, with their true power lying in how they cease conflicts without needing to kill the monsters. Their human hosts as well were notorious for hardly taking drastic countermeasures during monster attacks and comparably the weakest in martial arts practice. Interestingly enough, in episode 14 of Ultraman X, Cosmos is one of the inspirations for Daichi to realize his dream of befriending monsters, as both Ultra Warriors have fought against brainwashed monsters during their series' course. Predating Ultraman X, Cosmos is the first Ultraman with the ability to digitize himself, doing so to travel within a machine and stop a dream invading monster.
  • Ultraman Leo + Ultraman Zero = Leo Zero Knuckle: They were both known for being hot blooded and short tempered individuals who originally only wanted to become stronger for their own motives until the experiences they received in their lives gave them character development, allowing them to mature. In real life, their designs are based on Ultraseven archetypes. They are also Judo practitioners, with the latter learning from the former, and were even instructors at one point in their lives where they provided their students with harsh and handicapped training.
    • Leo: Trained Zero by having him imprisoned in a Techtor Gear armor.
    • Zero: Trained Ginga and Victory's human hosts, Hikaru Raido and Shou respectively, by having them handcuffed to each other's arms.
  • Ultraman Tiga + Ultraman Dyna = Zeperion Solgent/Power Strong: They originate from the same universe and were the first two Ultra Warriors to demonstrate the ability to change not only their colors, but their combat performances as well. Dyna is in fact Tiga's spiritual successor, which is heavily acknowledged both in-series and by the fans. At one point in their respective series, their powers were exploited by individuals in the hopes of reanimating an Ultra Warrior for their own evil purposes. In several of their battles, they were defeated by gigantic opponents while bearing their strength-oriented forms (Power Type and Strong Type respectively). According to the official website, both Tiga and Dyna are in fact Ultra Warriors under the situation called as "human Ultraman" (人間ウルトラマン Ningen Urutoraman?) due to their host in full control of their bodies. It is also notable that one of their Type Change forms has several homage to the original Ultraman.
    • Tiga: Power Type is an all-red form which possesses brute strength and raw firepower. Ultraman is known for being able to bench-press with the load of 200,000 t and having multiple ranged attacks.
    • Dyna: Miracle Type is an all-blue form which has aspects of both ranged and ESP-based attacks. Similar to how Ultraman is immune to electricity-based attacks, Dyna Miracle Type can manipulate electricities, to the point of having used it once to self-recharge his own Color Timer.
  • Ultraman Dyna + Ultraman Belial = Thunder Miracle: They both have electricity and black hole-based attacks (Revolium Wave and Belial Black Hole Thunder respectively) and are related to Ultraman Zero in several ways (the former is his close friend, while the latter is his archenemy). Their voice actors are also close friends with his. They have also both united with said Ultra Warrior, resulting in him gaining access to several powers.
    • Dyna: Fused with Zero alongside Cosmos to become Ultraman Saga, which in turn provided him with access to his StrongCorona and LunaMiracle mode changes as a side effect.
    • Belial: Possessed Zero to assassinate the Ultimate Force Zero, but at the same time gave him access to Shining Zero which helped to expel Belial and undo the damages caused by him.
  • Ultraseven + Ultraman Ace = Slugger Ace: They are both members of the Ultra Brothers who were infamously known for attacks that dismember their opponents (Ultra Knock Tactic and Ultra Guillotine respectively). They are also the first two forward crest Ultra Warriors in the franchise's history and their finishing attacks are performed as L-style beams. They also uses ESP in conjunction to their weapons and were killed in episode 39 of their series before being revived. It is also known that they lost their family members in their past and was taken care by someone else:
    • Seven: Lost his mother at a young age and subsequently taken care by his older sister during his childhood.
    • Ace: His parents died in the Great Ultra War and was adopted by Ken and Marie, the former being an old friend of Ace's father.
  • Ultraman Agul + Ultraman Hikari = Knight Rikidater: They are both blue secondary Ultra Warriors with a transformation item on their right wrist (Agulater and Knight Brace respectively) who were known for their ability to conjure energy swords from their arms, as well as being initially portrayed as the anti-heroes of their series until eventually allying themselves with the titular Ultra Warriors. During their respective debut, both used their signature moves to save their main Ultras. Agul's human host, Hiroya Fujimiya, and Hikari are also scientists and were once driven mad from the deaths of a certain person. They are also both responsible for giving the titular Ultra Warriors an upgraded form.
    • Agul: Gives Gaia his light to become Gaia V2 and Gaia Supreme.
    • Hikari: Lent Mebius his Knight Brace, allowing the former to become Mebius Brave.
      • He also created the Knight Timbre for Victory to become Victory Knight.
  • Ultraman + Ultraman Nexus = Spacium Schtrom: The latter, as well as his lesser form Ultraman the Next, had his design themed after the former and his series was meant to be a reboot of the original series. Ultraman and Nexus' first appearance in their respective series/movie was when they encountered a pilot and merged with them to save their lives while fighting against the monster they had chased to Earth. Predating Ultraman's first arrival to Earth, Nexus arrived first in his original form, rescuing an ancient civilization from a monster. Similar to Ultraman's host Shin Hayata, Nexus' female human hosts (Nagi and Sayuri) are sub-captains of their respective attack teams. They have also both received evolution as their series progressed.
    • Ultraman: Type A, Type B, and Type C.
    • Nexus: The Next (Anphans & Junis), Nexus (Anphans, Junis, & Junis Blue), and Noa.
  • Ultraman Agul + Ultraman Belial = Thunder Stream: Their shared features are summoning weapons from their hands (Agul's Agul Saber and Belial's Kaiser Belial Claws). Agul's host (Hiroya Fujimiya) and Belial are known for being prodigies in their respective talents, but at the same time are labelled as lawbreakers in certain aspects, and are capable of manipulating monsters through certain devices (Fujimiya via a mind-controlling device and Belial via the Giga Battle Nizer). Whereas Agul is an Earth-born Ultraman with an association to different bodies of water, Belial's current state is designed by Masayuki Gotou after a shark.
  • Ultraman Mebius + Ultraman Ginga = Mebium Especially: Mebius and Ginga's host, Hikaru Raido are Taro's students. Their weapons are derived from their own transformation items and share the ability to conjure swords from their arms, as well as flame-based projectile attacks. They have also utilized the power of the core six Ultra Brothers and combined with the secondary Ultra Warrior of their respective series by synchronizing their transformation devices.
  • Zoffy + Ultraman Hikari = Breastar Knight: Both are the oldest members of the Ultra Brothers whose age surpassed the original Ultraman (20,000 years old) and acquired their Star Marks due to their greatest achievements in the Land of Light (Zoffy for his fight against an army of monsters and Hikari for his discovery to revive fallen Ultras). Both were also known to have worn sets of armors at some point in time, but are no longer shown utilizing them in the present day. In Ultraman Mebius, both had a major involvement that contributed to the story's plot and bonded with Crew GUYS' captains as human hosts, supporting Mebius in his final battle against Alien Empera. Their major involvement in the series are:
    • Zoffy: Saving Shingo Sakomizu from a fleet of alien saucers, therefore allowing TDF to form GUYS upon his return. Zoffy also merged with Sakomizu to assist Mebius Phoenix Brave/Crew GUYS during the final battle.
    • Hikari: Saving former GUYS captain Kazuya Serizawa and assisted Mebius in many of his battles on Earth. He would also make a temporary bond with Ryu Aihara to fight against Alien Empera and becomes a crucial part in the formation of Mebius Phoenix Brave.
  • Ultraman Taro + Ultraman Max = Strium Galaxy: They are the first main Ultra Warriors in their respective eras to be based on Ultraseven archetypes and received their bracer weapons from another Ultra. Their series are made to be mostly lighthearted while still retaining an element of seriousness. They also parted ways with their human hosts instead of maintaining connections with them. Aside from that, they had also faced monsters/aliens with connections to Seven.
    • Taro: Fought against Eleking, who was revived by the moon.
    • Max: Met the Alien Metron that survived his destruction, who wished to depart from Earth on good terms.
Trinity Fusion
  • Ultraman Ginga + Ultraman Victory + Ultraman X = Orb Trinity: All three Ultra Warriors made their serial debut within Shin Ultraman Retsuden. They are the first Ultramen whose devices and powers were derived from collectible devices (particularly Spark Dolls) and shared the common ability to defeat their targets with non-lethal abilities (either transforming them into Spark Dolls or pacifying them). Their theatrical appearances as well involve them receiving assistance from a large number of Ultra Warriors and faced against an opponent who is either capable of summoning past villain copies (Etelgar's Eteldummies and Zaigorg's Devil Clone Beasts) or rather being copies themselves (Bug Rays of Evil Tiga, Chaos Ultraman, and Chaosroids). Last but not least, both the Ultramen and their host possess connections to Ultra Kaiju in several ways:
    • Ginga: Dark Lugiel is his original half before they separated.
    • Hikaru Raido: Is capable of transforming into Kaiju via Ginga Spark.
    • Victory: Utilizes Ultrans, manifesting the Kaiju's powers via his right arm. He is also connected to Shepherdon as beings empowered by Victorium.
    • Shou: Can utilize Kaiju Spark Dolls as energy bullets via Victory Lancer.
    • X: Utilizes MonsArmor, combining both the Ultraman and any corresponding Cyber Kaiju.
    • Daichi Ozora: As a Xio officer, Daichi can use the X Devizer (or Xio Devizer during X's absence) to utilize the Cyber Cards, either summoning them to real life or utilizing a portion of their powers through Xio machinery.

  • Orb is the third Ultra whose Color Timer is modeled after an English letter. The first was Victory whose timer is in the shape of a V and the second was X whose timer is in the shape of a X.
  • Orb is the second Ultra to have a host who is not native to Earth. The first is Ultraman Justice. However as time passed, Gai eventually addressed both him and Ultraman Orb as a singular being and in early information provided by Tsuburaya Productions, Gai is stated to be Ultraman Orb's human form, thus hinting that his situation alluded that of the Residents of the Land of Light.
    • Eventually, it is revealed that Gai had evolved into Orb, making him the first Ultra to evolve.
  • Orb is the fourth Ultra who has bright blue eyes. The first was Powered, the second was Evil Tiga, and the third was Zero in his Shining Zero form.
  • Orb is the seventh good Ultra to feature black markings on his body. The first was Tiga in Tiga Dark, the second was Agul, the third was Gaia in both Version 2 and Supreme Version, the fourth was Justice, the fifth was Nexus in Junis Form, and the sixth was Victory.
  • Orb's Color Timer's sound is a high pitch version of Zero's Color Timer.
  • In terms of Orb's Fusion Up forms, 15 Ultra Warriors (Ultraman, Zoffy, Seven, Taro, Tiga, Dyna, Agul, Max, Mebius, Hikari, Zero, Belial, Ginga, Victory, and X) have been used in more than one combination.
    • Of these Ultra Warriors, Tiga has the most combinations with 4. Dyna, Zero, Belial, Ginga, and X follow second with 3 each, while the others have 2 each.
  • One of the game-exclusive Fusion Up forms, Lightning Attacker, is rather interesting in a metaphorical sense, as technologies (X) are known for their constant evolution as time passes on to the future (Ginga).
    • Of all game-exclusive Fusion Up forms, Lightning Attacker is the first one to be shown in both stage-show and mannequin/suit appearance. However, the latter two are featured with normal shoe-style feet instead of pointed feet.
  • Hurricane Slash's teleportation ability comes from Ultraman Saga rather than either Jack or Zero, with the latter being one of the main components used to make up this fusion. Orb used this ability to keep up with and counter Hyper Zetton Deathscythe in a similar manner to Saga with the original Imago Hyper Zetton.
  • When Belial's card was scanned for the first time in Thunder Breaster's debut episode, his laughter can be heard while the Orb Ring toy only emits his grunt. This is due to Belial consciously doing it out of amusement when Gai/Orb prepared to use his power out of hatred towards Maga-Orochi for destroying Princess Tamayura.
    • Thunder Breaster's brutish fighting skills are ironic since both Zoffy and even Belial are mostly level headed in terms of combat, to the point where the latter is also an evil genius, such as being able to construct his own empire and create his own army. However, this trait is a reference to Reimon in his Burst Mode, a being who is similarly a Reionics like Belial.
    • Predating Orb's usage of Thunder Breaster, Belial had once noted in episode 103 of Ultraman Retsuden that his rival Zero's strength comes from his desire to protect the weak. This led to the conclusion that he needed to find something he can protect, resulting in his disappearance from Shin Ultraman Retsuden until its 49th episode as the Darkness Five had debuted earlier than him.
  • Orb in Thunder Breaster form is the second Ultra whose eyes aren't round nor boxy like almost of Ultras. The first one being Ultraman Belial.
  • Unlike other Form-changing Ultras, Orb has a unique rise for each of his forms. This eventually allows Gai to transform into various forms of Ultraman Orb instantly without the need to assume his default forms (Origin or Spacium Zeperion).
  • Because of how ironic Thunder Breaster's combination is, a lot of fans (mostly from Japan) tend to create illustrations featuring Belial having an internal conflict with Zoffy in various ways.
    • This joke is acknowledged and taken further in the Ultraman New Generation Event where Thunder Breaster is portrayed as such in front of the viewers. Examples include struggling to either shake hands or attack the visitors and attacking a fan who wears a cap with a resemblance to Ultraman Zero (Belial's archenemy).
  • Orb Origin's marking resembles that of the original Ultraman, thus making him one of the Ultra Warriors themed after the latter, with Orb Origin The First's primarily red markings only going to further point to the connection. In particular, his markings (some of which were retained in his In-Series Fusion Ups) were used to represent Ultraman-Type Ultras when performing a Fusion Up during the series.
    • Despite said form being his original form, the official website of Tsuburaya Productions listed Orb Spacium Zeperion as his default form.
  • Orb Origin's elemental powers seem to stem from or at least parallel the King Demon Beasts, minus Maga-Zetton, Maga-Tanothor and Maga-Orochi.

  • In early photographs of Orb Trinity, the suit lacked coloration on its shoulder armor and Orb Slasher's serrated blades.
    • Since this form's movie debut pays homage to the 50th anniversary of Ultraseven, Orb Trinity possesses several traits that is identical to the titular character himself:
      • His shoulder armors portrayed designs that is identical to Seven's Protectors.
      • His legs and hands are colored red, giving them the appearance of gloves and boots. Seven and other Showa Ultra Warriors had the excess parts of their gloves and boots exposed outside the suit as opposed to Heisei Ultras, hiding them beneath their main suit.
      • Both possess handheld weapons that are stored on their anatomies (head and right shoulder).
      • Both utilize an Ultra Kaiju's power in certain ways (Seven used his Capsule Monsters for contingency purposes while Orb taps into Victory's Ultrans and X's MonsArmor).
